Procedure for Abstracts

Presentations at EPC2001 will be based on Abstracts; full papers are optional!

To join EPC 2001, all participants are required to provide an ABSTRACT of their proposed presentation. Note that there will be TWO types of Abstracts: a Provisional Abstract (to be used for organizational purposes, notably to plan the Sessions of the Conference) and a Final Abstract (to be printed in the Book of Abstracts) and for conference website).

The following rules apply:

1.   Abstracts should be in English, since this will be the working language of the conference.

2.   Abstracts should reflect the essentials of the proposed contribution.

3    Final Abstracts should include:

·         Session in which presentation is scheduled

·         Title of the presentation

·         Name and affiliation of the author(s), with full address, phone/fax/email.

·         Background and Purpose of the research.

·         Data and methods which were used

·         Main results

·         Conclusions

4     Final Abstracts should be approximately 600 words in length (one page A4) and should be forwarded both on paper (one-sided, double line spacing) and in electronic format by email or on 3.5 “, 1.44 Mb DOS formatted disc. Acceptable are textiles in Word (6.0 or higher), Word Perfect (5.x or 6.x) or ASCII

In case of acceptance of the provisional Abstract by the organizers, authors will be required to forward a Final Abstract, to be included in the Book of Abstracts, by 1 May 2001 at the latest.

Final Abstracts, which are received after this date, will not be included in the Book of Abstracts.
